The Swedish Association of English Studies in Sweden (SWESSE)
The Swedish Association of English Studies in Sweden (SWESSE) was founded in 2004. The aim of SWESSE is to promote teaching and research in English Studies in Sweden and to encourage cooperation both among scholars in Sweden and with other associations of English studies in Europe. The association brings together students and teachers working in the areas of English language and literature at universities and higher colleges in Sweden. It cooperates closely with other Nordic associations (the Nordic Association of English Studies representing Norway and Denmark) and with the Finnish Association for the Study of English (FINSSE). The Nordic Journal of English Studies acts as a forum for all member associations of NAES of which SWESSE is a part. The journal is now also available in an online/pdf version.
